Overview:
This project was a client collaboration with Mark, a friend who was opening a new barber shop and needed a website designed in just one week. The project had a tight deadline as the shop’s opening was fast approaching. In addition to designing the website, I handled the photography for the shop, capturing images that were used throughout the site to give it a personalized and professional feel. The website was designed with a focus on simplicity, as Mark requested a single-page layout that wasn’t overly complicated.

Mark’s barber shop was opening in a week, and he needed an online presence to showcase his services and attract clients. The challenge was to create a simple, yet visually appealing website that aligned with Mark’s vision and could be completed under a tight deadline. He wanted a single-page website that was easy to navigate and avoided unnecessary complexity.
The key issues were:
The goals for the website were clear:
Throughout the design process, I worked closely with Mark to ensure the website aligned with his vision. Since Mark preferred a simple, single-page design, I structured the website to include all essential information on one page. This included sections for services, pricing, location, and contact details. I frequently shared progress updates with Mark, making adjustments based on his feedback until he was completely satisfied with the final design.
I handled the photography for the shop, capturing images of the interior, exterior, and equipment. These photos were incorporated into the design, giving the website a personal touch and providing potential clients with a preview of the shop’s ambiance. The images helped to break up the text and added a professional and inviting feel to the site. These images will also appear when you search up Mark's BarberShop on Google.
This project was a valuable learning experience in managing client expectations, especially under tight deadlines. Collaborating closely with Mark ensured that the design met his specific needs, and the photography allowed me to further personalize the project. The process reinforced the importance of clear communication, quick decision-making, and the ability to deliver quality work under pressure. In the end, the website was completed on time, and both Mark and his customers were pleased with the result.
This project was a significant opportunity to push the boundaries of web design, blending minimalistic aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. By focusing on a user-first approach and integrating modern design trends, I was able to elevate the Robbox brand to new heights. The process reinforced the importance of collaboration and adaptability in achieving a successful redesign, and it taught me the value of designing with scalability and responsiveness in mind.
